Hello Los Angeles/Orange County!
Changes are coming to the Los Angeles/Orange County building market. There is high demand for energy performance homes in the Los Angeles/Orange County area for a number of reasons:
- The Title 24, Part 6 Energy Code requires homes to be 15-20% more efficient than those built under the previous code.
- CALGreen, the nation’s first state-wide mandatory green building standards code, is scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2011. The code will require air sealing for new residential construction.
- Several local jurisdictions require or encourage participation in green building programs such as LEED® for Homes, Build It Green, and California Green Builder.
